Now, it has broken again. I won't have it fix any more since it will just be breaking again in about another year's time. I suggest you should consider a watch with stronger wrist band that's made with all metal parts. The plastic is just not good enough. I think it is a bad design on swatch's part.

"This is my first Seiko. I have a Citizen Eco-Drive dress watch but without illimunated hands/markers, a leather band, and no backlight. Also, as I travel frequently, the stem for it is very difficult to pull out which is a royal pain when switching time zones. My previous stainless "casual" watch just croaked. I had the battery changed years ago and opening the case apparently introduced enough moisture into the interior so that it has corroded over the past 5 years. So, wanted a stainless casual watch, comfy enough for daily wear, tough enough to wear all the time, minimal fluff (I just need to know what time it is) and self powering so that I don't have to worry about the above issue. This fits the bill very nicely and looks good enough that I can wear it to work as well. So far (1 week) very accurate and that's about all I ask from a watch. The stem appears to be big enough that I can change time zones as need too which is a bonus.
3 month update. Not much different from above. It's been accurate, dependable and I've gotten several compliments on it. Very heavy stainless steel body

"I've owned mostly Seiko's since 1971 when I bought my first one in Hong Kong. It was an automatic and lasted 5 years, till I dropped it. My latest did the same. This titanium is the best of them all. Light, clean, accurate, and prety thin. Very easy to read in bad light with these tired eyes. To take out a link on the band, all you need is an ice pick or similar. Undo the band pin, and put the watch on a towel. Put the tip of the pick in the depression, and push hard following the arrows on the band. It will come out slowly, and you can snatch it out. After that, put it back together, and adjust the fine tune using the holes in the clasp. Not too hard if you're strong enough.
I normally don't buy battery watches because I hate to get a new battery and all the hassle. With this 5 year life, though, it should be ok. The increased accuracy, thinness, and reduced weight, makes it worth it to me. BTW, titanium is much tougher than SS, and won't scratch as easily. It looks better, and weighs less. Highly satisfied with this watch! (I hate all the monster watches now being sold to

"From what I can tell, this is the same seiko automatic I wore for a quarter of a century, with a very minor difference in the wrist band latch. I loved it. About the only time I didn't wear it was in the shower each morning. It kept very accurate time, and wound itself with flawless reliability. I received mine as a Christmas present when I was a sophmore in high school. Young men being what they are, I sent it through the washer more than once in my jeans pocket. I also wore it caving through a number of exceptionally muddy passages. I whacked the crystal innumerable times on door jambs and had to replace them twice. I wore it with confidence on dates to elegant restaurants, weddings, business meetings and hikes in the Mountains. We got rained on, snowed on and broiled in the summer sun from Christmas of '76 until sometime after 2001. I've since tried a string of battery operated quartz watches. Every time the battery dies I am reminded that I never had to experience that inconvenience with my seiko automatic. None of the

I've owned my SNK809 for several months and love it. Its very accurate for the price. Mine gains about 5 sec/day. You'll have to spend a lot of money to do better than that in the mechanical watch world.

"After pining for this watch online, I physically went to a Swatch dealer and tried it on. Yes, it is a big watch--a boyfriend watch--in the style of those Michael Kors produces. (A boyfriend watch is designed to look as though your boyfriend took it off in a moment of eternal devotion and gave it to you to wear!)What I had wanted was a Michael Kors watch in white but after a lot of research into watch band material (ceramic breaks, acrylic takes on other colours and stains, so does silicon etc.) I decided not to invest that kind of money and risk disappointment. Because this Swatch is intended as a unisex watch, it is automatically way too large for a woman's wrist so assume it will need to be sized by someone who knows what they are doing--make sure they give you back the unused links to save in case you need them as replacements in future. "The Fossil Decker Black Chronograph Fits the bill when looking for an all black chronograph within a budget. Believe me, looking for an all black chronograph is tough considering some of the choices out there ranging from Chase Durer, to MTM, Traser and Luminox just to name a few brands. This Chronograph came about during a Trip to Atlantic City, when Spotted, I was really impressed by the look, finish and feel of the watch. For the Price, the bracelet is rather sturdy, the ion-plating finish as well is tremendously well done. One unique feature that I found particularly interesting about the watch was it's chronograph function. Usually on a chronograph watch, to measure elapsed time the Second hand is used and is usually replaced by the hand normally found on a three hand watch (Hope I'm not loosing anyone :))What's unique about the Fossil is that the chronograph function is done in the background using the three sub-dials found on the face. The bottom one is 1 second, Left one 1 Minute, Top one 1/100th of a second. The time is kept regularly on the top section of the face via minute, hour and second hand. But why would you need those things at a swanky dinner engagement, or at the Presidential Ball?!? It's certainly suitable for such events. The crystals are very diamond-like -- lots of sparkle. The face of the watch is outstanding, and every bit as good looking as the photos -- maybe better. The delicious smelling leather band is the perfect width and thickness. Not skimpy or fragile looking in the least. Anything beefier would overwhelm the delicate watch, which I believe is the perfect size -- for my wrist anyway, and I am relatively small boned. The holes in the band are very close together -- just another thoughtful Armitron feature that allows for a more comfortable fit. The holes on most bands seem rather far apart, so you end up going from too loose to too tight when merely moving to the very next available

Bulova is a top end manufacturer of watches and clocks. It has its head office in Woodside, Queens, New York City. Bulova was founded and incorporated as the J. Bulova Company in 1875 by Joseph Bulova, an immigrant from Bohemia. It was reincorporated under the name Bulova Watch Company in 1923, and became part of the Loews Corporation in 1979.
Bulova started its operations in Woodside, New York, where it made innovations in watchmaking, and developed a number of watchmaking tools. Its horological innovations included the Accutron watch, which used resonating tuning forks as a means of regulating the time keeping function. Bulova paid $9 for the world's first television commercial on July 1, 1941, on New York station WNBT before a baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies.
The Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking was founded in 1945 by Arde Bulova, Chairman of the Board, initially to provide training for disabled veterans after the Second World War.
The Bulova tuning fork movement was a horological revolution whereas previously, electronically regulated timepieces were limited to some scientific instruments, being too large for a personal watch.
